What does a strata management company do?

A strata management company is responsible for providing strata schemes with the services of a dedicated Strata Manager, who is primarily tasked with ensuring that the building and the common areas are maintained – so that the owners can enjoy these spaces. The strata management company will generally have many schemes that they look after; with each scheme assigned to an individual Strata Manager. The job of a Strata Manager is highly specialised and requires an in-depth knowledge of the relevant legislation to ensure that each scheme they manage adheres to the appropriate laws. The Strata Manager works closely with the elected Strata Committee and the wider Owners Corporation to also ensure the smooth running of each scheme.
